Creative Services and Training: Creative Boot Camp

Sometimes, even great creative staff can get a little stale if they’re not able to see past the status quo. If you feel that you should be getting more from your staff, then this creative boot camp is just the thing. Using my years in the industry and teaching, I’ve created a course that uses a combination of lectures, visual aids, group discussions and peer critiques to deliver transformative learning.  Here’s a brief overview of what you can expect.

Day One 

 Morning – Getting the head on straight 

Removing the obstacles that block the higher level of creative thinking that leads to breakthrough ideas. 

 Afternoon – Discovering the real message 

Participants are given a product to advertise. They drill down below the surface to discover who the target customer really is and the advertising message that will be effective and why, 

 They then write an actionable Creative Brief and articulate their creative idea and approach based on their learning. 

Day Two 

Morning – Learning that good is not good enough 

Participants present their Creative Brief and advertising approach to the group. Participants discuss and critique each approach and rank them from strongest to weakest. This is followed by a lecture and discussion on the limitations of the Product>Feature>Benefit advertising model. 

 Afternoon – Creating brand advocates 

Participants learn that effective advertising is a communion of values and the benefits of turning customers into product and brand advocates through experiential and non-product advertising. This is followed by group thinking and discussion.
